GB-EMS Ambulance Service is the back bone of the GB-EMS Group, with crews available 7 days a week to assist our clients varying and often complex needs. In the last 12 months GB-EMS has transported patients almost every single day, meaning our service is in demand more than ever. We pride ourselves on the quality of our service, from continual increases in the standard of our staff skill levels and qualifications by undertaking regular additional training and keeping qualifications current and nationally recognised, to running a service that does not just meet but often exceeds national standards where possible.
From non urgent patient transport through to full emergency 999 capabilities, our service flexibility means clients and service users always receive the appropriate level of care and transport.

PTS | HDU | ICU | 999
The GB-EMS team has many years of proven experience when it comes to providing ambulance services to the NHS and corporate clients. We promote the importance of quality of care, and as such pride ourselves on our consistently positive client and service user feedback.
We transport patients across the country daily between hospitals, care facilities and their homes. We provide regular Patient Transport (PTS), High Dependency Units (HDU), Intensive Care Units (ICU) and Frontline (999) provisions to the NHS and private clients. Our fleet is maintained to a high standard, which always meets but often exceeds national guidance and regulations. Our service is operational 24hrs a day 365 days a year, with an on call duty manager always available to both our staff and to clients.

Planning a move for someone who is too unwell to travel either in a standard car or through public transport can be a stressful and often difficult experience. Especially when complications like illness or physical injuries are taken into account. The GB-EMS team has many years of proven experience with moving patients across the length and breadth of the country. We aim to reduce the stress of a journey for patients, their family, carers & medical staff by providing a reliable service with trained and experienced crews to help you with your journey.
Supplementary Ambulance Services
We often provide many additional Ambulance Transport services to Clients and Industry Partners including:
- Urgent Organ, Blood and Clinical Sample Transfers
- Urgent Medical Team Transfers and Retrieval
- Frontline 999 Ambulance Services and Support
- Specialist 4x4 / Off Road Vehicles during inclement weather.

- ICU/HDU Specialist Transfers
- Long Distance Repatriations across the UK and Europe
- Major incident Support to NHS Trusts and Private Clients
- Event Ambulance Transport Services (CQC Registered)
- Car or Ambulance Transfers for Patients with Mental Health Disorders
We have the capability for international repatriations by road, and have close connections with industry partners if air travel becomes a better solution. In all cases we can help in this aspect.
It all depends on the patients condition and what level of care or interventions they will need during the journey. At the point of enquiry we will ask about the patients conditions and give advice as to the most appropriate level of crew and vehicle for the journey.
Our ambulances do normally have the space for an additional passenger to travel with the patient, assuming there is not an additional medical team also travelling. In all cases any escorts must be pre booked with us for logistical and insurance purposes.
Unfortunately a minimum of at least one GB-EMS member of staff must accompany the ambulance (normally the driver).
Logistically anywhere in the UK and Europe is very feasible for us. If some journeys are longer we may request an overnight stay near the patient the night before the journey to make sure our crew are fully alert and fresh when undertaking the transport.
